❝If there were a little more love, no one on this earth would ever be lost.❞
-Count Osdorf (Diary of A Lost Girl)
The line that Count Osdorf in Diary of A Lost Girl, tells the matron and her ladies of the reformatory school when Thymian, Louise Brooke’s character, is soothing her friend who’s been a victim of the school’s abuse.
That line always wanders through my brain, because I do agree with it.
I truly DO believe if there were a little more love; no one on this earth would ever be lost.
When a child first comes into the world, they’re guided and they have many options.
However, when a child grows up and has been in the world for a little more than a couple years–somethings shifts. The people you thought would help you along the way, don’t. And well… Everything begins to muddle. The black and white you thought you knew, turns into an ugly grey…
Isn’t that the one things everyone hopes for, strives for, and lives for?
But something always has a way of coming in and ruining your chances of ever experiencing that kind of emotion… LOVE.
For the people who aren’t loved like they should be. Those people get lost along the way in life and can’t find their way back home. Not when they know, no one loves them. Not when they keep being told, that no one will ever love them.
Those people wander through the world hurt, angry and… LOST.
Those people cry themselves to sleep ever night wishing that someone LOVED THEM!
And that’s that.
❝if there were a little more love; no one on this earth would ever be lost.❞
