I thought ❝family❞ meant…

“When everything goes to hell, the people who stand by you without flinching — they are your family. ”
― Jim Butcher

I thought family meant being there for one another.

I thought family meant no hate, just love.

I thought family meant accepting one another’s faults.

I thought family meant loving one another unconditionally.

But as I get older, I realize not all families hold those ideals…

including mine.
